fish(ery museum) of the day

fisheries museum in Brighton,
in an arch under the prom
on the site of the old fishmarket dating from 1867
before which fish would have been sold impromptu on much the same site
(but without the authorities taxing the catch perhaps)
rather like much of India (and presumably the world) still is
drawing of fishsellers pre-1867
