executioner's tale

Apart from the fact that keeping people on death row for prolonged periods is widely considered an abuse of human rights ...

if anybody thinks that sentencing Chiou Ho-shun (邱和順) ... to death for the 11th time is the right thing to do, read recently retired senior prosecutor Chen Chui's (陳追) account of overseeing 122 executions.
