to stop VftH becoming a moanfest,
here is local rule No.1:
"For each pet hate there must be one pet like"
so to compensate for my tirade against advertising on Bangkok buses,
here is one of my favorite Bangkok things to do, riding on the river buses:
The bus-boats are full of monks, tourists, parents and kids, people going to work, children getting off school, and there are boats going by every minute
bus-boats, taxi-boats, private boats, tour boats, restaurant boats, commercial “truck boats”
why are the economics of Thailand's river so different from Taiwan?
The bus-boat costing about NT$13 per trip, whereas Taipei’s river has about two boats per day, and a passenger ticket costs several hundred NT to Guandu or Danshui. No one’s going to take that to work.
p.s. this is not a complaint, just a query. It would be nice though.
