fish of the day

It's a long time since i had smoked salmon for breakfast.

I used to have it all the time when i lived in edinburgh.

(Well "all the time" at least.)

But it's too expensive in taipei.

Not that it's cheap in scotland, but cheaper.

Apparently it used to be so cheap that workers stipulated in their contracts "salmon only x times per week".

Or is that one of those rural myths?

I'll try to find out.
