while on the topic of menholes, i saw this one in Jinshan (金山) on taiwan's northern coast
the central motif are the double "candlestick holders", an eroded coastal feature of which the town is proud
the other 4 (top left then clockwise)
hot springs,
sweet potatoes,
duck (the town does roaring busineess in duck meat)
and fish
